As the man behind hundreds of mountain trail maps, James Niehues is one of skiing’s most revered artists. To collect and frame all of his impressive works of mountain art in one place, Open Road Ski Company created an immersive and comprehensive coffee table book featuring the hand-painted maps of ski hills from Whistler and Vail to Aspen and Alpine Meadows. The end product was an impressive compendium of his life’s work in immersive detail.
Voicebox worked with Open Road and talented West Seattle Art Director John Ide to create a digital campaign framework to promote the second-year Q4 sales of the book. We helped develop campaign arcs, crafted social and digital ad copy, and collaborated on developing the brand look/feel and shot list for a photo and video shoot that generated a treasure trove of assets to promote the book sales through digital channels. The result was an entire kit of digital marketing tools for a successful Q4 season.
