As Crystal broke ground on their Mountain Commons base lodge, our team was tasked with crafting signage announcing the new space, as well as commissioning an art installation to beautify the temporary construction site.
Seeking to capture the sense of this paradise valley in art, we evaluated potential artists and selected talented local muralist Gretchen Leggitt, renowned for her sweeping Pacific Northwest mountainscapes. Voicebox Art Director Erica Kutz worked closely with Leggitt to provide our vision, guiding her to bring to life a piece that reflected the “Feel Different Here” identity we’d created for the brand.
The result was a stunning visual landscape that captured the sensation of rising from the Puget Sound landscape and Cascade foothills up into this enchanted mountain environment. Those feelings resonated with Crystal teams across multiple departments, who were thrilled at how well the spirit of Crystal was reflected in this artistic masterpiece—one that was adopted in multiple installations and merch adaptations as a defining visual for the brand.
