As part of our comprehensive yearlong naming project for Stanley in alignment with their rebrand, we were tasked with creating the names for their newly elevated Coffee & Bar collections. To give the names soulful depth, we broke from typical product naming convention and ideated emotive, evocative names that spoke to the consumer’s state of mind. The Daybreak coffee collection captures those quiet moments during coffee and tea rituals that allow for pause and appreciation. The Lifted Spirits bar collection brings energy and uplift to drink vessels meant to inspire when paired with crafted libations.
With reams of successful names for industry heavyweights—including names that have endured ten years—our larger role in the naming project was providing creative inspiration to product managers who lean more logical, while guiding a diversity of opinions toward creative alignment. In this way, we acted as an external yet collaborative partner in the internal rollout of Stanley’s new, inspiring brand identity.
