With a newly elevated approach to product design and a recent brand reinvention, Stanley needed product names that expressed their new brand awakening—one centered on creativity and invention. VP of Product Creation & Design Graham Nearn tapped Voicebox to lead the product naming process and generate a large collection of names, starting with their Hydration category, to express brand cohesion and their revolutionary shifts in design thinking.
Working with talented Senior Director of Global Product Ellen Powers and Voicebox Strategist Adrienne Schofhauser’s research, we started with a deep discovery phase. Combined with our intimate knowledge of Stanely’s brand identity as a creative wellspring, we ideated and culled a list of inspiring recommendations. What emerged were successful names for hero Hydration products, such as the Aerolight Transit bottle and the lively Flowstate and Fast Flow lids. We also generated an elevated name for the evolution of their most successful franchise of all time, the Quencher H2.0.
The result of this colossal naming project was ultimately nearly 100 names generated for product categories, family collections, individual products, and technologies that together amplify Stanley’s homage to the world’s creative spirits.
