A skier on a chairlift is a captive audience, so there is no better time to relay the brand messages of on-hill advertising. Crystal Mountain maximizes this upload time with custom safety bar advertising that informed skiers and snowboarders of internal resort offerings from lessons to lunch. Building on our successful Feel Different Here rebranding work with the marquee regional ski area in the Pacific Northwest, Voicebox generated the copy and messaging for Crystal Mountain’s internal chairlift advertising campaign in collaboration with the Alterra-owned resort’s internal design team.
We collaborated with internal Crystal brand designer Erica Kutz, providing a second set of creative eyes on image selection and brand identity direction to keep the messages and visuals in line with the creative vision behind our defining 2019-20 Different Here campaign. Our crew also generated headlines and selling copy that set the voice and tone of the campaign while also promoting product offerings from night skiing and ski school to mountain top dining and summer weddings . Every time we put down the safety bar, we’re reminded that these ads remain one of our favorite projects of the 2020 year.
