When Hydro Flask trusted my team with the task of telling a brand story through their ambassadors we were honored. The second installment of the series had us extra excited about the chance to work with influential #VanLife advocates—Where’s My Office Now—directing, producing, shooting and editing a short film about their on-the-road V-Dub reality. On the heels of their New Yorker profile, our No Return Address short film—shot and edited by Jon Mancuso—told a deeper and more nuanced story of their journey.
Linking up with Emily King and Corey Smith in Sedona, Arizona, we brought concepts and storyboards to life through beautiful cinematography and personal interviews reflecting the character and insight of the pair. The finished piece launched with a custom-built landing page experience, a Hydro Flask podcast, a curated still gallery from the shoot, supplemental editorial content, and a coordinated launch effort with custom promoted micro-content for Facebook, Instagram and the new Live.Hydroflask.com content environment.

In addition to all the other content campaign elements, our team put together a grassroots launch strategy, that saw @wheresmyofficenow take over Hydro Flask’s Instagram channel at launch. In the first weekend alone, the content garnered more than 40,000 likes and 15,000 views—organically—and effectively conveyed a powerful story from deep within the Hydro Flask brand.
Full Story on Live.comOne of the most inspiring elements of the No Return Address campaign—other than sharing a birthday campfire outside Sedona with the Where's My Office crew—was creating a podcast from the four hours of interviews we conducted with Emily King and Corey Smith from our location shoot inside their VW van Boscha. Placing myself back in the van we harvested audio responses from four interviews and re-recorded the questions and intro in a local studio, yet threaded together their inspiring story of #VanLife and how the pair found their way to life on the road. The podcast launched on the campaign landing page as an even deeper dive level of brand content for Hydro Flask.
